Skyfall news roundup: April 13th, 2012

Well, last week we ended on the news that the Skyfall trailer was due on May 25th, which is exciting a lot of James Bond fans. This week there has been plenty of news too.

We got some more video footage as media organisations were invited to Pinewood to see the Skyfall set and the noise surrounding Heineken appearing in Skyfall continued, although they have died out this week.

Hurriyet Daily News reported that EminönĂ¼ street would be closed from April 16th onwards while filming went on and that shopkeepers would be required to keep their shops open so that all appeared normal. Naturally they are to receive compensation for the lost sales during this period of filming.

007.com then featured video interviews with Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem and Berenice Marlohe, but there was not much there to go on other than they all think Skyfall will be great.

Some photos were made available to certain of the media, which again got Bond fans excited. And there were some details of the story taking 007 to Shanghai and Macau.

Finally, after nearly 40 years of being broadcast by ITV, the James Bond films are departing for Sky Movies, which has upset many fans. That means that ITV will no longer show the traditional Bank Holiday Bond film and that Skyfall will be on pay TV only in the UK.
